Photographic Documentation: QA Dwell and Assembly AI Photo Review

Photographic documentation is a critical component of modern manufacturing quality control. Ensuring that the system captures clear, representative images at every key juncture of your assembly not only provides a reliable audit trail but also empowers downstream traceability and continuous improvement.

To best facilitate the capture of these representative images, Rapta allows supervisors to enable interactive Photo Review modals. These features pause the system’s automatic progression upon completing these step types, allowing operators to manually review and verify the captured image. Images that have been occluded by the operator’s hands or tools, for example, can be recaptured for the best possible documentation of the completed assembly step.

Enabling and Using Photo Review

This guide will walk you through the setup and usage of Review Modals for QA Dwell and Assembly AI steps. These settings can be enabled in the Setup – Live tab.

Once enabled, when a QA Dwell or Assembly AI step is successfully completed or approved by a supervisor, a modal appears allowing the user to choose to keep the automatically captured image for the step, or recapture as needed.
